If you checked even one of these — you are in the right place. Beyond Labels was built for this moment.

  • Your child is struggling but the school says they don't qualify
  • You received an evaluation report you don't fully understand
  • You feel dismissed or rushed in ARD meetings
  • Your child has a diagnosis but no real support plan
  • You know something is wrong but can't get anyone to listen
  • You want to request an Independent Educational Evaluation

How we help families

EvaluateED

We conduct independent evaluations and review school-provided FIEs so you have a clear, complete picture of your child's needs — in language you can actually understand.

AdvocateED

We attend ARD meetings with you, help you prepare questions, review IEP goals, and make sure your child's rights are protected at every step.

EmpowerED

Through one-on-one parent coaching, we help you understand special education law, your rights, and how to build a productive partnership with your child's school team.

Frequently Asked Questions

An IEE is an evaluation conducted by a qualified professional outside of your child's school district. You have the right to request one at district expense if you disagree with the school's evaluation results. An IEE provides an independent, unbiased look at your child's needs and can be used to challenge or supplement the district's findings during the ARD process.
