I believe every child deserves to be understood before they are categorized.

Meet Tracey Parks
"I'm Tracey Parks, founder of Beyond Labels Educational Services. For more than 25 years, my work has centered on children, families, learning differences, special education, and the systems that are supposed to support them. My background began in speech and language development and expanded into special education, evaluation, advocacy, and diagnostic support. Across each role, one truth has remained clear: a label may explain part of a child's learning profile, but it should never define the child."
My journey into special education began in speech and language development, working with the youngest learners and their families during the most critical windows of growth. What started as a passion for communication became a calling to advocate for children who were being misunderstood, overlooked, or simply never given the right tools to show what they were capable of.
My Professional Background
Over 25 years, I worked across 12 states. Rooted in South Carolina, shaped most deeply by nearly 12 years in Naperville, Illinois, stretched as far as New Hampshire, Chesapeake, Virginia, and Denver, Colorado, and ultimately planted in Texas. As a Speech Language Specialist, Special Education Teacher, Early Interventionist, and Traveling Special Education Teacher, I stepped into classrooms, crisis situations, and communities that needed someone to show up. Every time. I showed up.
Why I Created Beyond Labels
In 2010, I founded ACTS2035 Academy, a private K-12 homeschool cooperative rooted in faith, individualized learning, and the belief that children do not have to fit the mold to thrive. For nearly 12 years, across Naperville, Illinois, Chesapeake Virginia, and Prosper, Texas, we proved it was possible.
I went on to earn my Texas Educational Diagnostician certification, a credential that brought together everything I had learned across decades of work in special education. Today I continue to serve in the field as a practicing Educational Diagnostician, conducting formal and informal evaluations, writing Full Individual Evaluations, and supporting ARD teams as they make decisions for students. That current, real-world experience keeps my work grounded in what families, educators, and school teams are navigating right now.
What Families Can Expect
Beyond Labels was created for the parent who feels overwhelmed by testing results. For the child whose strengths are being missed. For the homeschool family looking for direction. And for the professional who wants to grow with confidence.
My goal is to help people move from confusion to clarity, from frustration to strategy, and from labels to meaningful next steps.
My Promise
At the heart of this work is one simple belief: when we see the whole child, we change the outcome.
When we see the whole child, we change the outcome.— Tracey Parks, Founder
What we stand for
Four principles guide every meeting, every report, every partnership we take on.
Faith Over Fear
Every child who walks into an evaluation room carries a story. I carry faith that the right support can rewrite the ending.
Equity in Every Room
A label may explain part of a child's learning profile. It should never define what is possible for that child.
Excellence Without Exception
Certified. Credentialed. Called. Every report, every recommendation, every ARD is approached with the same standard — the child in front of us deserves nothing less.
